A place to begin.
This archive is designed to make history approachable: short introductions, clear dates and links that let you go deeper. It is an evolving collection, rather than a complete history of the islands.
Sources, not guesswork.
Each story includes its sources. We prioritise cultural institutions, official records and the organisations responsible for the places we describe. Where evidence leaves questions open, we aim to leave them open too.
Independent by design.
This project is not affiliated with Heritage Malta, VisitMalta, the Government of Malta or the organisations linked in our articles. External links are references, not endorsements.
